Make Money Doing What You Enjoy!

We spend numerous years of our life doing mundane things and performing jobs wherein our dreams are not fulfilled to put money in our bank account. Hopefully, you have been blessed to make money doing what you enjoy. Not many people fall into that category.
Maybe when you were young you dreamed of being an engineer, a dancer, a highly paid chef, or a ball player. Sometimes after finding your dream job you discover it is not exactly what you had envisioned.
I grew up when the typical desire for a young woman was to get married, have children and be the nurturing glue that held the family together. Of course, this will definitely show my age! I did meet my soul mate shortly after high school and we were married almost three years later. Two years after that we started our family. We had two beautiful daughters. When they were nine and ten, my husband chose another route and we were divorced. I was faced with the experiences of a single mother. My daughters were the glue that held my life together. I have a very high regard for single parents!
I had taken the necessary college courses in high school to become a nurse. After I graduated my parents needed financial assistance and my nursing education fell by the wayside. I started my 45 plus years in the work force.
I had taken shorthand and typing when my schedule had too many study halls. Later those courses would be what enabled me to make a living and put food on the table for my children.
Do not get me wrong, I totally enjoyed my years working in the corporate world. I held many interesting positions. There were administrative assistant positions, a document control specialist, working for presidents of corporations, starting my own secretarial service, and even working as a head of the house waitress for my brother along the way. One side job that I did that was fascinating was working for a friend making earrings for top end stores like Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales, Burdines, and many others. As I have a creative nature this was a job I truly enjoyed.
Three years ago the company I was working for downsized and my department was eliminated. It was at this time after trying for an extended length of time to find another job that I decided to pursue the internet marketing industry. I soon discovered that one needs to be very discerning with all the activity that goes on in this business. That is not to say that genuine opportunities do not exist, just be careful. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you are considering starting a home-based business realize up front that this will not be easy. You can make your own schedule, but you will need a schedule. Your clients, prospects and team members will depend on your being an active member of the business. You will face some very long days. The end result will be worth your effort. You will want to spend time educating yourself with the techniques and products that will help you become successful. Never let a day go by without learning something new.
I took an early retirement and worked at a home-based business. At times like these we find ourselves looking back on our lives. I personally feel that nothing happens by accident. All of the hardships, hurts, trials and tribulations gave me opportunities to learn and become the person I am today.
Recently, I launched my own online jewelry business. It is called Beadazzled Jewelry Creations and can be found at http://beadazzledjewelrycreations.com. In the past few months I have spent hours learning about creating websites and blogs. This knowledge, combined with my creative abilities, allowed me to create a webpage and create my own jewelry creations. It is truly fulfilling to see my designs become reality.
Another creative passion I have is writing. I have taken my passion for writing and created a blog at http://judyconway.com. I hope that in sharing various experiences and topics that I can be an encouragement to others. You can do whatever you dream of doing. Do not ever give up. I have also developed other websites for affiliate marketing and article marketing. I am truly fulfilled doing what I am doing.
Following my passions will allow me to support myself in my retirement.
